Where Do I Go From Here?
Being born with sickle cell, I was constantly in and out of the hospital. Once I got older, it calmed down a lot. But I am unable to afford any medical care, this is my biggest problem that has yet to be solved. I started looking for work and once covid calmed down I was out of work. I’m still looking but I can’t do much based on my recent emergency surgery. Where do I go from here?
It is scary to feel that you are between a rock and a hard place: not being able to afford the healthcare you need, and unable to find work. One of our health leaders wrote about a similar experience here.
