Patient concierge

I’m in the process of developing a non profit concierge service for sickle cell patients who get hospitalized. I’m looking for ideas on what services can be provided that would help you while in and out of the hospital. One service I’d like to offer is advocacy and diet support. I’d love to hear how my non profit could offer services that are not offered. I have been a supporter and strong advocate for my daughter up until her death on june 2 2022. She didn’t die from complications of scd but from neglect of the healthcare system.

  1. Great idea. Toothbrush, hygiene products, comb, chapstick.

    1. So sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart to know that the healthcare system failed her. Your business idea is a great one - I think you could offer care packages to patients in-hospital that contains essential oils, heating pad, stress ball, thermometer/incentive spirometer, silk bonnet, Carmex etc. You may also want to think about liaising with Uber/Shipt/Doordash to get discounted coupons for patients. Whether it’s a ride to or from hospital, hospital admission essentials or takeout food…you’ll be able to build a strong customer base and can even extend services to other chronic illnesses like cancer/lupus/auto immune conditions.

      1. Thanking you in asvance

        1. I think it’s a brilliant idea.. unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions yet. I am also so sorry for your loss.. your daughter fought well till the end. May you find comfort in knowing that she is a true warrior. Sending you light and love.

        2. I think setting up some kindv text, app and/or email where the Individual can let you know they are in need of somethn "SPECIFIC" and there can be an exchange of how, when or if you could accommodate them. Also, the same for a caregiver of theirs. I know ppl saw this all the time but I REALLY MEAN IT...🥀 I am so very sorry for your loss. I will implement you in my prayers. 🙏🏾🌹
