Hey
I want to tell my story since I was in the hospital and the pain was all over me. No one in that hospital knew what my problem was and they only injected me with morphine, but I did not calm down. There was a nurse whose hand I was holding tightly. She had bright eyes and a lot of makeup, but her kind face calmed me down. I told the nurse, please don't go anywhere and don't let go of my hand, otherwise I will die. The nurse told me that she will never let go of my hand.
I was discharged from the hospital after a week and I didn't see the nurse after that night, but I need her for my life. Please, if you have a sickle cell patient around you, give him emotional support and don't leave him alone.
