The first supplements you need for sickle cell management are folic acid, vitamin D, and multivitamins. I'm not a huge fan of blood tonics because they cause iron overload later in life; except your hematologist says you are iron deficient. What you can do to build up your blood is to start eating more salads and vegetable soups. You can also make smoothies and add spinach to your recipe. The fruits or fruit juice will nullify the taste of the spinach so you can still enjoy it. Hope this helps.
