Managing Pain at Home

Hi, guys. My name is Grace. I am a wife and mother and I work as a full-time blogger. I am also living with sickle cell disease.

Visits to the hospital aren't always ideal

As a mother leaving my child to be in the hospital isn’t always ideal, especially when you have young children. For me, I like to do as much pain management at home so ensure that there is no disruption in child’s routine.

My at-home pain management plan

In this video, I am sharing what I do to manage my pain at home. Please remember that these are just tips and what works for one person may not work for the other person. Although pain management at home is preferred for most, sometimes it requires more intervention. So if going to the hospital is what is needed, do so.

 

Steps 1-5

    Step #1: Pain medications
    Step #2: Get cozy
    Step #3: Apply a menthol rub
    Step #4: Take a moment to relax and rest
    Step #5: Stay hydrated
